After our road was rolled-it's a little smoother- I was hoping that Jake would learn to ride his bike without training wheels. It has been three months since we started and he is just not into it! <br /><br />Yesterday, however, a girl he really likes-writes notes to all the time-came over to play and wanted to ride bikes. After a few comments like, "Why can't Jake ride without training wheels?" she asked if she could take them off to ride his bike. Immediately Jake jumped on the bike and said,"Let me try. Mom, can you help me try?" I said of course and hurried to get the wheels off fast enough for him not to change his mind. He promptly rode up and down the street as if he had been doing it all summer! The best part is taking children there whose veil is still so thin and see their reaction to it! I wanted to do this for the last three years, but I always forget until April 1st. So this year I caught it in time and was able to enlist the help of a neighbor to Hide Chad's ride! It is a great day and we feel so great! Sabrina will gladly play trains with Jake and Jake will gladly sit up to the table and have a princess teaparty breakfast with Sabrina. I hope that lasts!</div><div></div><div>Christmas was special this year because the kids are starting to get the idea of Jesus Christ. Jake is starting to recognize Him in pictures. However this year, it was different thinking of Jesus as a baby. I had to keep pointing to manger scenes and saying," see the baby, that is Jesus, he was a baby just like Solee." It was a difficult concept but I think that Jake is starting to get the picture. He stated one day, "I am not Jesus. I am Jake. But I was a baby lastnight." It has been one of my favorites since I was very little-listening to it on a record! I am so glad I could find it for my kids to enjoy! Also atop our Christmas tree is a moose in honor of Morris, instead of an angel or star. JAKE is having a particularly hard time with this because everywhere else there is a star there-he has shown me plenty of pictures and continues to point it out in all movies that there should be a star there. Well a month ago I took mine off to put in our sprinkler system. It was a last minute decision so I put it in the jockeybox of my car. With two very inquisitive kids-I should have guessed that this was not the safest place for it-however a month later-still working on the sprinklers(fine tuning) and building a deck(actually three) I still haven't put it back on. I decided to take it out of the car and put it in a safe place---except that it is gone....NOW WHAT! I comb the car over to find it to no avail. Sadness sets in and I take the car on a drive to get some medicine(for a cold-not depression) and I notice that the stereo won't work and the clock is off-must have blown a fuse. Well the next day I think-hey I didn't check the ports, and low and behold there it is!!! Thank heavens my kids LOVE stuffing things in little wholes! Eventually we would have noticed though because that is what shorted out the stereo! Well it doesn't bode well with me that they shut the water off twice a week for two days for rotational purposes. This means I have to spend 6 hours a day-3 two hour sessions(because of the size of my yard)watering the ground with one hose and a hand sprayer. I have shared my frustrations with some of you, but due to this hard work I now have this!!!!!!!! Yeah- No more dirt next spring!!!!! More to come when we get the back deck done and have no more mud in my house!!!! She (or he cuz we still can't decide) is doing so well and is such a mover! They say that there should be at least ten kick counts in an hour-we go for ten in a minute! So exciting! WE literally have one month left! Hooray!<br /><br />Sabrina is growing too, but not as quickly-she will be the tiny one of the bunch-still only weighing 17 pounds. I guess it is good to have one feather weight because holding all three is a chore. Her vocabulary is growing so fast thanks to her big brother Jake. She can almost say more than he can! I guess it is true what they say about a word limit!<br /><br />Jake is having so much fun now that we can go outside more often. The plan is to have the grass in by July-which will be so great-no more mud inside! Swimming is a daily activity-which feels great and gets them both ready for a nap! This is the last summer with Jake before he starts his school---on the graduation note, it seems like that day is far away.<br /><br />Chad got the new job, and is just waiting for the training. We still have a few years left in this house before the job is steady over in Cedar-so we are finishing the basement! Hooray, if anyone comes to tropic, we have a great basement with a fun theatre and other great stuff for you to stay in! No more camping out at the Grimshaws-that is unless we all want to go out back to the fire pit and set up a tent! Watch out for the coyotes!<br /><br />Life is great here and we are busy preparing for the next little adventure! However, in our family, events in March were too close and conbobbled with birthdays, weddings, travel etc. , so I decided we would celebrate it in April at conference. Well this past weekend it was wonderful because the easter toys lasted all day and the kids were great through some of the best sessions I have ever listened to ! My plan worked and though unconventional-the day turned out great. The easter egg hunt is getting more familiar and Jake had a full basket. Sabrina, however, was satisfied after just one treat in each hand---she did not want to let them go to get more, but rather eat every one she got! It was a sugar filled day full of the spirit and love! Thanks to Karlee for getting the decorations-I was in Alaska the week before and we all know that Tropic is limited to a few party items---Yeah RIGHT! But the day started off with an Easter Egg Hunt! Sabrina was good after finding two treats-one for each hand! Later in the evening we had some pizza to tide our stomachs while we waited for the guests to arrive for treats and games. The party started off with water coloring pages of the Nemo story, then creating paper aquariums by making playdough fish and gluing them to a fun aquarium. It was topped off by a surf and turf cake! The month of </span><span style="color:#ff0000;">Love </span><span style="color:#33ffff;">gave us so much time together! We were able to spend almost the whole month snuggled up close and traveling! We stopped in at Mom and Dad Murray's first to enjoy the snow-good thing too because when we returned, it had all melted! Later we went to the warmer climates in order to have our winter skin, bronzed by Florida sun. Mauna was the only one with a real tan by the time we got back, however Chad lost his perma-sock line! Great, just in time for the summer to start and get it right back!
